First Steps

Installing the Montage experiment lifecycle manager is an easy two step process:

1. Install Eclipse
2. Install the Montage plugin

Step 1: Install Eclipse

Download and install Eclipse from http://www.eclipse.org/downloads

We recommend installing Eclipse Classic

Step 2: Install the Montage Plugin

Launch Eclipse and Click on Help -> Install New Software

This pops up a window as shown below. Type the url http://montage.deterlab.net/release in the “Work with” text box (highlighted below) and click Next.

Montage is now ready to use. Additional configuration details are available at Configure Montage

To update a previously installed Montage plugin refer to the documentation at Update the Plugin

Next import a topology with the Catalog and create an experiment!
